Bringing Back the Black Slingback

(The Row Commercial by The Olsens, found on youtube)
Even though the spring season is most definitely underway, I'm currently pining for a pair of these heels. Fall trend or not, they've got a rockstar attitude with the subtlety of a breezy, laid back ride through the countryside. Needless to say, they kick serious butt, no matter the season.

Never too Late to Go Green

Happy belated Earth Day! Here's a little taste of what fashion had in store for Earth Day 2010.
"Manhattan-based designers Stephanie Doucette and Annebet Duvall have channeled vintage glamour into an environmentally friendly line of exquisite separates. Using repurposed fabrics in unique patterns and prints, this collection of dresses, blouses and skirts embodies the eco-aware approach without losing out on elegance. Standout pieces include the little green dress — a Doucette signature that gives a stylish nod to Mother Earth." - Gilt.com

Wild, Wild West Meets Melancholy Country

Where the wind blows and the grass grows, the horses run free. It's Montana in the spring, it's Texas where it's green, it's the old saloons and the ghost towns of years past. It's a rusting sheriff star, beloved leather boots, billowy blouses, hammered belts, patterned cloth. It's eyeleted cotton, soft leather, worn jeans, everything in between. It's mexican, it's native american, it's cowboys and robbers. It's a vintage sort of feel in gun-slingin' country.

Stained-Glass Dripping from Your Skin

So much for the list of future posts. I think it might be best if I stick to short ones while school's still in session. There's just simply not enough time to do everything and write everything I want to on here. For now I'll leave you with these gorgeous pieces from Robert Wander. The colors and designs are breathtaking. It's like stained-glass for your fingers-- bright, rich, colorful, and shinning like a million little stars.
